Description

White garlic sauce being prepared for the pizza recipe, rich and creamy with parmesan

Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

1 quart heavy cream

1 stick unsalted butter

2 cups grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon finely minced garlic

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Pizza:

1 ball of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup parmesan cheese (for topping)

Optional toppings:

Grilled chicken

Crispy bacon

Spinach

Mushrooms

Caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. Stir in cream and bring to a light simmer. Slowly add parmesan, whisking until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  2. Prep the Dough:
Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Roll out dough into a 12-inch circle. Place on pizza stone or baking sheet.
  3. Assemble:
Spread sauce over dough, leaving edges bare. Top with mozzarella, extra parmesan, and your chosen toppings.
  4. Bake:
Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  5. Serve:
Let rest 3–5 minutes before slicing. Finish with herbs or a drizzle of garlic oil if desired.

Notes

Let the dough come to room temperature before rolling—it’s easier to shape.
