Description

These 4th of July fruit kabobs are a colorful, no-bake, kid-friendly treat perfect for summer celebrations. Made with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and optional marshmallows or cake cubes, they’re healthy, easy to prep, and fun to serve at any patriotic gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

12 medium wooden skewers (68 inches long)

12 strawberries, halved or 24 raspberries

24 banana slices (½ inch thick) or 24 mini marshmallows or 24 1-inch cake cubes

48 blueberries or 24 blackberries

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to brush bananas)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all berries. Slice bananas just before use.

  2. If using bananas, lightly brush slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.

  3. Thread one red fruit (strawberry or raspberry) onto the skewer.

  4. Follow with a banana slice, marshmallow, or cake cube for the white layer.

  5. Add two blueberries or one blackberry.

  6. Repeat the red-white-blue pattern once more or until the skewer is full.

  7. Place completed kabobs on a tray. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving (up to 12 hours).

Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Perfect for DIY kabob bars at parties or kid-friendly holiday snacks.
For a sweeter kabob, add drizzles of melted chocolate or dust with cinnamon.
